Skip is now providing a white-label delivery service for Loblaw.
Wait, what is white-label delivery?
These grocery orders are part of what’s called a white-label delivery model. Loblaw handles the ordering experience, and Skip handles the delivery behind the scenes. Loblaw customers order through the Loblaw website or mobile app, and you complete the delivery as a courier on the Skip network.
What’s this all about?
Loblaw is one of Canada’s largest grocery retailers, and as part of their new direct-to-door delivery platform, orders will be powered by Skip’s white label delivery model. You might start seeing grocery orders from Loblaw and its family of brands such as No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore, Fortinos, Zehrs, Independent, Maxi and more. These orders follow a unique process that’s a bit different from restaurant orders, so check out the tips below to deliver them like a pro.
At the store: Smooth pickups

Loblaw has provided the following requirements to make pickups easy with a set process designed just for Skip couriers:
- Park in one of the dedicated delivery parking spots near the store entrance.
- Then, call the pickup number (you’ll find it in the courier app or on a sign in front of your parking space).
- Tell the store staff the customer’s name and the last 5 digits of the order number.
- A store team member will bring the order to your car. This can take up to 10 minutes.
- Once it’s in, mark the pickup as collected in the app and proceed safely to the drop-off location. Deliveries are expected to be completed within approximately 30 minutes, allowing reasonable time for safe and responsible driving
Dropoff: Quick and clear
When you arrive at the customer location:
- Check the drop-off instructions in your courier app.
- Follow the customer’s instructions for drop-off.
- Take a clear photo showing the order and the address.
- Mark the delivery as complete in the app.
If something doesn’t go according to plan, like the customer isn’t home, you’ll need to return the order to the store.
Returns: When things don’t go as planned
Delivering on time helps you save time. If there’s a long delay and you can’t complete the delivery, you may have to return the order to the store, which can limit your chances of accepting more orders. If there is a significant delay in getting the order to the customer and the delivery isn’t complete, it needs to be returned.
Here’s how:
- Drive back to the same store and park in the designated delivery spot again.
- Call the store using the same number.
- Let them know the customer’s name, the last 5 digits of the order, and the reason for the return.
A store employee will come to collect the order from your car.
