Ebike and motorbike/scooter riders can be exposed to a number of risks on the road. To help keep you safe and minimize these potential risks, we’ve compiled a list of the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) you can use on each delivery run.
e-bike PPE:
Helmet | That meets Canadian Standards Association (CAN/CSA D113.2-M89 – Cycling Helmets)The helmet should be a comfortable fit, with minimal movement when fastenedHelmets are a legal requirement in some provincesYou should replace your helmet every 3-5 years, or after an impact |
High vis vest | To meet Canadian Standards (CSA Standard Z96-15)This is to be worn over your other clothes and should be able to be fastened at the front |
Eye protection | Safety-style sunglasses that are shatterproofThese should be free from scratches and must be cleaned to ensure visibility is not affected |
Sun protection | You should adopt ways to protect yourself from UV rays. |
