The World Cup is here. Plan your route.

FIFA World Cup 2026 matches are happening in Toronto and Vancouver from June through July. On match days, expect significant road closures and traffic disruptions near each stadium. Here’s what couriers on the Skip network need to know.

Toronto

Six match days are scheduled at BMO Field in the Liberty Village and Fort York area.

What to expect:

  • Closures begin five hours before each match
  • Closures may remain in place up to three hours after each match
  • Lake Shore Blvd W will be closed, which may increase traffic on the Gardiner and through the downtown core
  • Liberty Village and Fort York will be Local Access Only zones

Plan your route and give yourself extra time near restricted areas.

Additional road restrictions:

World Cup activity extends beyond match days. Expect road restrictions in and around Fan Zones throughout the tournament, from June 11 to July 19. These areas may be busier than usual.
