Getting Equipped
When delivering by bike, you may be exposed to the same traffic and regulations you’d expect in a vehicle. It’s important to stay safe, obey all traffic laws and be prepared with the right safety equipment such as a helmet, reflective clothing and lights to stay visible.
Pro Tip: safety requirements may vary provincially, but a helmet can greatly reduce the risk of permanent injury or death if you fall or collide.
You may also want to make sure your bike is running smoothly, can be secured on stops with a reliable lock, and is fitted with water bottles to stay hydrated on your shift. Visiting your local bike shop is a good place to start.

If you want to use your own bag, you can provide photos of the bag, along with your government identification, so we can ensure your bag meets the following requirements.
The bag must:
- Be capable of being worn as a backpack
- Have heat-reflective, thermal insulation on all sides
- Have a leak-proof liner and close with heavy-duty zippers or velcro straps
- Have minimum dimensions of 58cm × 35.5cm × 43cm
