That’s right. You can deliver by bike on the SkipTheDishes Network!
Zip through bike lanes, feel the wind at your back and get a workout while you’re at it. Delivering by bike is a healthy choice that lets you earn extra cash while experiencing your city’s culinary culture in a whole new way.
As a bike courier, you’ll be able to choose when you want to ride, deliver in urban zones, and lower your operating costs without the expense of gas. Plus, you can sign up now so you’re ready to deliver by bike by the time the warmer weather arrives.
When delivering by bike, you may be exposed to the same traffic and regulations you’d expect in a vehicle. It’s important to stay safe, obey all traffic laws and be prepared with the right safety equipment such as a helmet, reflective clothing and lights to stay visible.
Pro Tip: safety requirements may vary provincially, but a helmet can greatly reduce the risk of permanent injury or death if you fall or collide.
You may also want to make sure your bike is running smoothly, can be secured on stops with a reliable lock, and is fitted with water bottles to stay hydrated on your shift. Visiting your local bike shop is a good place to start.
