SkipTheDishes stands in solidarity with the Black community in the fight against systemic racism.
We value and foster diversity, and support the Black Lives Matter movement.
Besides voicing our support for the fight against racial discrimination, we’ve started the following initiatives:
Committee for Change
We’ve created a Committee for Change within the company to help us understand and identify challenges faced by our Black team members, and also implement changes that encourage inclusivity.
Promoting Black-Owned Restaurants
We will actively promote Black-owned restaurants in the Skip app.
We will also collect stories from Black-owned restaurants across Canada and share them on our social media channels, highlighting their triumphs and struggles as Black restaurant owners.
Internal Education & Culture Exchange
We are committed to further educating our employees on racial inequality. This includes mandatory inclusion and sensitivity training for all team members, starting with our leadership.
We will feature stories from Skip’s BlPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour) team members, to better understand Skip’s BlPOC’s experiences and how all of us can work together to create meaningful change.
